Functions of the Collection
We would like to reach out to as many people as possible, therefore, if you feel the collection could be useful to you, please contact us and we’ll do our best to facilitate your needs. All of the works in the Birth Rites Collection are available for loan. We would be interested to hear from you if you are organising an exhibition or film screening which you feel might benefit from the inclusion of one or more of the artworks. Images from the collection are available for use in leaflets, talks, public programming or publications. We are also happy to supply information on our subjects, artworks and practitioners to facilitate researchers and writers.
The Birth Rites curator, Helen Knowles is available to collaborate, give talks and presentations and design and facilitate workshops. We feel our work can be useful in areas such as midwifery, obstetrics, pre-natal and post-natal support and developing childbirth health professional practices. If you are an artist who thinks that you have some work which might be suitable or relevant to be included in the collection, please contact us. Fees are negotiable. All artworks are subject to copyright.
